Hey, what happened to your workshops and drop-in days?
Bent Tuba Studio has undergone a sea change. Right now we’re focused on exploring our own creative paths, in addition to hosting occasional open studio gatherings. Read more about this change.
Who can come to the open studio events?
Open studio gatherings are open to the Greensboro community at large. If you like to play with stuff and make things — or if you’re curious about art supplies and want to give them a try — then we invite you to come by during one of our scheduled events to enjoy creative time and make new friends.
How can I learn more about open studio events?
Subscribe to our newsletter. Just click on the newsletter link at the top of this page.
Who runs the studio?
The two of us, Nicki Deyton and Tracy Hart, co-facilitate studio events. We’ve been in cahoots for more than 10 years and are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet (according to reliable sources).
Where is the studio located?
Bent Tuba Studio is located in the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Greensboro, NC. The address is 501 South Mendenhall Street. You can email us for directions to the third-floor studio space and instructions on where to park your car. There is free on-site parking.
Is your studio accessible to people with mobility issues?
The studio is on the third floor of the building. There is an elevator that goes as far as the second-floor sanctuary, making it possible to access the studio with an additional seven steps up, followed by a short hallway. Please email us if you have questions about your specific needs in regard to accessibility.
Why are you called Bent Tuba Studio?
Because our studio mascot is an actual bent-up tuba. Click here to read the tale of Tina the Tuba.
